Cobble & Cove

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Cobble & Cove is a one-woman art studio ("we," "I," "Cobble & Cove"). This policy explains what information we handle and how. We keep it simple because our operation is simple.

What we collect

If you contact us or sign up for our email list, we collect the details you choose to give us (such as your name and email address) so we can respond to you or send the updates you asked for. When you browse cobbleandcove.com, standard, non-identifying technical information (such as general analytics) may be collected to help us understand and improve the site. If you arrived from one of our ads, a little more than that is involved — see Advertising & measurement below, which spells out exactly what is stored and what is sent.

Purchases

Artwork is sold both through our Etsy shop and directly on this site. Etsy purchases are handled by Etsy under Etsy's own privacy policy. Purchases made directly on cobbleandcove.com are processed by Stripe or PayPal, both PCI-compliant payment processors — we never see or store your full card number. We do receive the order details needed to fulfil it (the painting, format, size, shipping address, and email) and, when you use it, the shipping address and payment method you provide to Stripe or PayPal at checkout.

Pinterest & social platforms

We use the Pinterest API solely to publish and manage our own Cobble & Cove content and to view analytics for our own account. We do not access, collect, or store other people's Pinterest data, and we do not sell or share any data obtained through the Pinterest API. Our use of information received from Pinterest complies with the Pinterest Developer Guidelines and API Terms.

Advertising & measurement

We advertise on Pinterest, and we measure whether those ads actually lead to orders. Two things follow from that, and we would rather spell them out than bury them.

If you reach this site by clicking one of our Pinterest ads, the link carries a click identifier. We store that identifier in a cookie on your browser for up to one year so that, if you later place an order, we can tell which ad brought you here. It identifies the advertisement, not you.

When an order is completed, we report the purchase to Pinterest so the campaign can be measured. That report includes the order total, currency and the item ordered, along with limited information used to match the order to an ad click: your email address and phone number, irreversibly hashed before they leave our systems so that Pinterest never receives them in readable form, plus the click identifier above and your IP address and browser user-agent. We do not send your name, your shipping address, or your payment details. We do not sell this information, and we use it only to understand which advertising works. Pinterest's own handling is governed by the Pinterest Privacy Policy.

You can prevent all of this by blocking or clearing cookies for this site, or by using your browser's tracking protection — nothing about buying from us depends on it.

How we use your information

To respond to your messages, fulfill and support your orders, send updates you opted into, and operate and improve our studio and website. We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. To ask what information we hold, or to have it corrected or deleted, just email us.
